The SST PB3-CPX master and slave modules can be configured as PROFIBUS Master, Slave, or Master/Slave, resulting in a flexible design that reduces inventory and spare parts requirements. Thanks to their specifications, the modules can be seamlessly integrated and offer up to 1,984 bytes of input and 1,968 bytes of output per master, making them an ideal solution for large PROFIBUS networks.
 
All three variants are compatible with cost-effective Ethernet cables and include a 10/100 Mb Ethernet port, enabling fast downloads, remote connections, and remote monitoring. The modules offer configuration options as a backplane or front panel module. A micro-SD card slot, with an included 8 GB micro-SD card, facilitates quick and easy module replacement. With a mean time between failures (MTBF) of 181 years, the modules ensure reliable, trouble-free operation. The SST PROFIBUS modules feature 1,000 V electrical isolation between ports, guaranteeing a robust, secure network that is extremely immune to electrical noise. The modules are suitable for applications such as material handling and packaging, as well as the agri-food, mining, water management, and wastewater treatment sectors.
 
The SST PB3M-CPX master modules come with software configured as a PROFIBUS Master, allowing for flexible design. The master module supports 1,984 bytes of input and 1,968 bytes of output.
 
The SST PB3S-CPX slave modules offer up to 244 bytes of input and 244 bytes of output per slave, enabling high data throughput. Software configured as a slave does not require any ladder logic.
