Er-Soft presents PROFINET Master Simulator, an easy-to-use software tool that utilizes a Windows PC's Ethernet port for configuring and testing PROFINET slaves. PROFINET Master Simulator can exchange data with numerous PROFINET slaves from various manufacturers, even without a PROFINET master. In addition, the PROFINET Master Simulator also processes GSD files, as well as the input of special configurations to initiate data exchange with PROFINET slaves.
It is also possible to identify, rename, and assign addresses to PROFINET slaves. Furthermore, data, particularly diagnostic functions, can be displayed in binary, hexadecimal, and now also as ASCII code.
It is compatible with PROFIsafe modules, has an I/O data logging function and allows operations in acyclic mode (CR Data Logs).
The PROFINET Master Simulator comes in two versions:
• PROFINET Master Simulator for cyclic input/output read/write operations.
• PROFINET Master Simulator Plus with support for acyclic data and logging.
Using HMS master simulators, you can configure and test slaves/adapters on PROFIBUS, CANopen, EtherNet/IP, and DeviceNet. HMS now also offers a master simulator for PROFINET.
Master simulators are ideal for testing input and output wiring, and reading and writing analog values. They are useful during the configuration of slaves/adapters in a network, as well as during final inspection testing of the device.
