With its quick and easy integration, the module provides power to connected Profibus PA devices, allowing them to be seen as DP units from the Profibus/DP side. It requires no additional configuration and can be used with any DCS or PLC system, even at 12 Mbps. The module also incorporates oscilloscope functionality, which, together with its ProfiTrace analytical capabilities, enables remote maintenance via Ethernet and easy monitoring of critical parameters such as jitter, noise, DC current and voltage levels, bar graphs, and oscilloscope data. Standard features include CommD™ communication, facilitating connection to asset management software via Ethernet.
The PA-Link is a module that fits into the COMbricks system, which can support up to nine PA modules and one RS-485 or fiber optic module. It can also be configured as a mix of PA modules with other communication modules. The PA-Link can supply up to 500mA of current to the segment with an adjustable bus voltage.
