TOPTICA Photonics AG successfully completed the acquisition of Azurlight Systems SAS on May 5, 2023, following final approval from the French government. The effective date is January 1, 2023. Azurlight will continue its fiber laser and amplifier business under the new name TOPTICA Photonics SAS. Located in Pessac/Bordeaux, France, TOPTICA Photonics SAS will also become the French hub of the TOPTICA group, demonstrating TOPTICA's commitment to the local photonics ecosystem, including a Joint-Lab agreement with the Institut d'Optique d'Aquitaine LP2N.

Indra has reached a binding agreement with NG for the acquisition of Park Air, one of its UK subsidiaries. Park Air offers ground-to-air radio systems and designs, manufactures, supplies, and supports air traffic management (ATM) radios worldwide, with two core product lines serving the civil and military markets. Its main customers include air navigation service providers (ANSPs), airports, systems integrators, and government and military organizations. Ground-to-air radios enable communication with aircraft during takeoff, flight, and landing.

Nokia has announced that it has signed a new cross-patent licensing agreement with Samsung following the expiration of the previous agreement at the end of 2022.
Under the agreement, which covers Nokia's core inventions in 5G and other technologies, Samsung will make payments to Nokia over a multi-year period beginning January 1, 2023. The terms of the agreement remain confidential between the parties.
