It allows the incorporation of 4.3 billion IPv4 addresses into an IPv6 network. Another advantage is that 65,000 machines, both physical and virtual servers, can be shared under a single IPv4 address, ensuring they continue to operate normally and allowing new servers to be added in the future, even when IPv4 addresses are exhausted.

The institutions that control IP addresses internationally, and especially in the Asia-Pacific region, have exhausted the IPv4 address space, hence the need for a global rollout of IPv6. Furthermore, cloud-based data centers and outsourcing services typically use VLANs, which logically divide the IPv4 addresses used by client systems to accommodate them without interference. This means that approximately 1,000 companies can be accommodated (assuming 4 VLANs per client), which is currently insufficient, making IPv6 support urgent.

For all these reasons, Fujitsu has developed SA46t/SA46T Datacenter Solutions to enable data centers to make a seamless transition. The company is very proud of the development of this technology, which will be implemented worldwide, and will propose its standardization to the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force), the organization responsible for standardizing these types of technologies.
