Winner of the 2017 iF Design Award, ABUS's wAppLoxx system is a cutting-edge solution for professional access control, capable of managing up to 20 doors in a building or facility. The user-friendly, web-based system helps businesses manage access authorizations and quickly adapt the system to staff changes and new employees. Furthermore, a dedicated app allows for system setup in just a few steps using a smartphone or tablet.

The wAppLoxx access control system combines the advantages of a traditional access control system with flexible and intelligent online management via a network or intranet. This system allows for the quick and easy creation of access authorizations (for up to 150 people), for example, granting separate access to offices, archives, or sensitive areas such as laboratories, pharmaceutical warehouses, storage facilities, or industrial complexes. In addition to access control, alarm systems can be connected to wAppLoxx via cable, preventing false alarms and optimizing overall building security.

The system includes a control unit that can be connected to 20 wAppLoxx double-knob electronic cylinders, featuring robust, high-quality stainless steel knobs and synthetic caps. These cylinders integrate a MIFARE DESFire transponder and connect to the control unit via 128-bit wireless communication with AES encryption. Two cylinder types are available: one for access control and another suitable for alarm system control.

The newest addition to RS's Industrial Internet of Things product range, ABUS's network-based wAppLoxx system, is available in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.
