The eWON Cosy uses an outbound connection via the factory LAN (HTTPS port 443 or UDP 1194). No modifications to the firewall or IT infrastructure are required to establish communication, which is especially appreciated by IT departments.
It features secure VPN connectivity, integrated Wi-Fi, and mobile connectivity.
All traffic is handled through a fully secure SSL-based VPN tunnel. Information exchanged during communication is transmitted encrypted via SSL (with 2048-bit keys), and only authenticated users can connect to the eWON.
Wi-Fi and mobile modems allow internet access without needing to connect to the factory or company LAN. They offer free access and high bandwidth, are easy to install, and simplify network security management.
It also provides a complete audit trail and control by the client.
Customer control
VPN access can be controlled via an HMI switch or button to manually enable or disable the VPN connection on-site, giving the end user control when they are granted access.

Our cloud-based connectivity service provides a connection report to know who has connected to each device, for how long and at what time.
The eWON Cosy connects to the Talk2M server.
The engineer uses the eCatcher client software remotely to log into their Talk2M account and selects the machine they wish to connect to.
A secure VPN tunnel is established between the engineer and the machine. The engineer can then communicate with any device connected to the eWON Cosy's LAN ports.
