Nokia has been selected to work with Vodafone on the evolution of software-defined network manager and controller (SDN-M&C) services for the company's multi-access fixed network technology.

Under the agreement, both companies are conducting proof-of-concept trials in Europe. Depending on the success of these trials, Vodafone and Nokia intend to deploy the technology more broadly later this year.

IMDEA Networks has been awarded the ENABLE-6G coordinated project from the national UNICO 5G call for proposals.
